We are excited to welcome you and your child to Russellville First Methodist! Our prayer is that your child will begin to grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus Christ, leading to an everlasting relationship with God and His church. We believe that children are important to the family of faith.

Weekly Events

Join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00 AM and Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM (during the school year) for a time of fellowship, learning, and creativity. Children will be divided into separate age groups.  We hope to see you there!

Additionally, during both Sunday worship services, Pastor Toby invites the children to join him in exploring the contents of this week's mystery bag. Each week, one child contributes a mystery item, trying to stump Pastor Toby, who must provide a related Bible lesson.

Yee Haw VBS

Celebrating God's Greatest Gifts

We had a great time this year at Yee Haw VBS. Our kiddos learned about celebrating God’s greatest gift to us…His One and Only Son through songs, crafts, games, and Bible stories. Sharing God’s love with our students is so important. The youth did a fantastic job providing skits, serving as song leaders, and guides. Thank you to the entire congregation for supporting this event with your prayers, donations, and service. A special thanks to Cristy Allen, our amazing Children’s Director.

Nursery

Childcare for kids four years and younger is provided on Sundays during both services and Sunday School, as well as on Wednesdays during Bible Study classes.

Children Special Events

Several times a year, our children's ministry hosts special events. We had such a great time at our Fall Festival, where the congregation got into the spirit by dressing up and joining in on the festivities. To help our church family celebrate the Christmas season, the children performed a play and music. The kids had a blast at the glow-in-the-dark Easter egg hunt.
